Trump, Trumpcare and mental illness
Donald Trump praised the Australian health care system. Why does he promote just the opposite? Why doesn’t he study the Australian system? Why doesn’t he study the systems of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the UK or Britain?
With all of these proven systems, why can’t he lead us to health care success? This is one more sign of his ignorance and mental illness. He is too lazy and has an inability to focus on anything for a long period of time. Tony Schwartz, the real author of “The Art of the Deal” warned about this in the summer of 2016. Trump would rather play golf and tweet.
He could delegate all of this to his Republican subordinates, but they have mental problems too. Just as in the case of global warming, Republicans prefer to ignore facts. They have their ideology that government is “bureaucratic” at best or just plain evil. Meanwhile, all the other advanced nations have some form of government universal insurance or near single payer that costs far less than ours and covers everyone.
So Trump and his mob of Republicans promote the repeal of Obamacare (a better than nothing monstrosity) with a worse hodgepodge now known as Trumpcare. The goal of covering everyone is gone with the wind with steep Medicaid cuts. A way to reduce poverty and save money is to deny healthcare to the poor in an overpriced “free market” and let them die. They call themselves Christians!
