During the election Politifact.com analysed Trump’s statements and found about 70% to be false or worse. One of the biggest reasons Trump got won the electoral college is that those lies went on TV with little or no fact checking. Tens of millions watched the News Networks and heard the lies. Fact checkers like Politifact.com were lucky to get a few million readers. So his lying paid off.
The lying rampage goes on with the firing of FBI chief Jim Comey. Fox viewers were treated to a harsh assessment of the political fallout for the Trump administration by the network’s more serious news anchors Bret Baier and Chris Wallace.
Baier went first, about Comey “he took the gloves off right away” and “numerous times, essentially, directly calling President Trump a liar.”
Then Chris Wallace added, “Repeatedly, James Comey called the president a liar, said that he lied about that the FBI was in disarray, that he defamed him and the FBI, said that the reason he kept those kinds of notes in the first place is that he thought this was the kind of man who would lie about those kinds of things,”.
